Meet our Staff
Don, aka "Smitty" has been involved with San Diego Youth for Christ since 1968 as a high school club kid. He found Christ at a YFC Saturday Night Rally in 1969 and came on Campus Life staff in 1971. Don worked with YFC from 1971-1981, 1987-2003, and is now back as the Executive Director of Youth for Christ. It is a great privilege for Don to have the opportunity to lead this wonderful organization and it is his hope and prayer that San Diego YFC will be all that God intends.
Tina Flannery Staff Development Director for Campus Life
Tina is a Colorado native where she was involved in Campus Life as a teen. After teaching in the public schools for a few years, she decided her passion was reaching kids with a message of hope. Tina has been on staff with San Diego Youth for Christ for 12 years. She has a Master's degree in Christian Education/ Youth Ministry from Azusa Pacific University. Tina and her husband, Russell, live in Lakeside and have 2 daughters named Anna & Rachel.
Gina runs Campus Life clubs on four campuses. She also is the Junior High Director at Pathways Community Church. She is married to her husband Bill and has five children.
Bill returns to San Diego Youth for Christ after a 30 year hiatus with Boys and Girls Clubs, teaching, The City of El Cajon recreation department and nine years in transportation with a nationally known company. Having grown up in the El Cajon Valley when it was nothing but dirt roads and wooden bridges (just kidding), Bill is a native of San Diego and the Southern California region. He became a Christian as a result of the outreach of Youth for Christ and its Campus Life Clubs in 1970, and actually ran clubs at Granite Hills, Mt. Miguel and El Cajon high. With three grown children and his wife in heaven Bill became available to come back to Youth for Christ as Business Administrator for the organization. He looks forward to expanding his role with YFC in the coming days in a search for those who would join their effort to reach even more kids for Christ in the San Diego County area.
Ministry Service Director, Larry Foushée
Larry has worked for San Diego YFC for over 30 years! He was our Ministry Services Director - we all laughed at that title because in reality, it was a fancy title for “Anything that YFC needed done, Larry did it.” Not only did Larry do whatever was asked of him, he did it with a servant’s heart. I’m excited to have Larry back because he brings with him a love for the Lord and that servant’s heart. Larry’s new position is overseeing our web sites and helping us with the SDYFC Alumni. This will also help generate resources to reach out to the thousands of young people in San Diego County.
